Winter in Queenstown
Our first snow was a good dump. The picture on the right is the chicken cage (tractor)
Our second snow dump was not so bad. Notice spinach and silver beet keep going. We still have green smoothies every morning. Glenn goes into the garden to pick, the sometimes frozen greens and then into the blender with banana's, pineapple, blackcurrants (also frozen in my freezer), spirulina, water and apple.
Although slow, cabbages, beetroot, spinach, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and kale growing in a nice warm double skin greenhouse.
It is nearly the end of june, and just gone past the shortest day. So it is time to plant my garlic.
We do get beautiful days in Queenstown.
2016 Winter - we have had very cold nights in the minus, but during the day blue sky and sun, although the air is cold. The inside of my green house is around 20 degree's most days.
