This is a favourite tea in our home. I love to make this in the evenings. I make a large pot, place it on the coffee table for anyone who wants it. I top it up with more boiling water during the evening. If you are feeling like you are getting the flu just add lots of raw garlic to this.

- Ginger - Ginger extracts have been shown to have both antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects on cancer cells. It is also an immune booster.
- Lemon - High in Vitamin C and helps our body develop resistance against infection. It has a healthy amount of minerals like iron, copper, potassium and calcium. A good source of B complex vitamins and is an antioxidant.
Lemon Grass - This has a rich source of minerals - potassium (helps control heart rate and blood pressure.), zinc, calcium, iron, manganese, copper and magnesium. Has a small amount of vitamin C and A. Rich source of vitamin B5, B6, B1. They are a good source of folic acid.
Lemon, Lemon Grass and Ginger Tea Recipe
This is a rough guide as I sometimes add more ginger. Just make it to your taste.
1/2 stick of lemon grass sliced - I keep a packet of this in my freezer. It is very easy to slice frozen.
1/4 lemon cut into small pieces or sliced
2 inches or more of fresh ginger, you can also keep this in the freezer.
Method
Place in a teapot, or a strainer like the one in the photo.
Pour in boiling water and watch 5 minutes and then serve.
