Pizza Bases - plain and Gluten Free

Gluten Free Pizza Base

makes 2 large pizza's

1 cup coconut flour

2 tsp baking powder

2 cup coconut milk or any other milk

6 eggs

Method

1 - Mix altogether, press onto a baking tray lined with grease proof paper.

2 - Precook the base in the oven 200c for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.

3 - Now it is time to put your toppings on.

4 - Bake again 

Pizza Base - Plain

makes a very large pizza or about 4 large round bases. They can be frozen.

1 kg plain flour

15 gr Himalayan salt

15 gr dried yeast granules

2 tbsp olive oil

2 cups water

Method

1 - Place all the ingredients in a large bowl, mix and then drop on your kitchen bench.

2 - Knead until smooth. Dusting with flour if sticky.

3 - Place in a floured large bowl, cover with a cloth, place in a warm place for 2 1/2 hours.

4 - By now it will have risen. Roll out, brush with oil and top with your favourite toppings.

 

After brushing with oil I sprinkled with raw garlic, homemade tomato pasta sauce and then parmesan cheese.
