Theses brownies are so good. They are not overly sweet.I served this with homemade ice cream using my Yonanas ice cream maker. You make it my using frozen banana and any other frozen fruit or berries.For a sweetener, I have used my ''date syrup'' recipe is on my blog under, ''sauces''
Brownies - Guilt Free
7 '' by 11'' oven dish - lined with greaseproof paper
Option - 1/2 cup chopped nuts
200 gr 80% dark chocolate
50 gr chocolate (or more chopped up to add to the mixture, last) or 1 cup of chopped nuts (any type)
1/2 cup date syrup, honey, or maple syrup
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp sea salt
3 cups almond meal - (ground almonds)
2 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup cornflour / mixed with 1/4 cup water - use your finger for mixing, (I don't know why, but it works)
Method
1 - Place a medium size bowl on top of simmering water, put in your 200 gr chocolate and coconut oil, and stir as it melts.
2 - Stir into the melted chocolate - vanilla, date syrup and the mixed cornflour - whisk quickly.
3 - Pour in the ground almond and chocolate bits or nuts and mix well.
4 - Pour into your baking tray.
