Dried fruit are high fructose, so be careful how much you eat.
Fruit Chips Recipe
Apples or Pears that are hard. Tart apples are best or just under ripe works well.
Once dehydrated they become very sweet. Over ripe apples will be to sweet.
Method
1 - Core and slice very thinly and evenly your fruit, don't peel.
2 - Soak in a bowl of warm water and 1 tsp sea salt for 3 mins.
3 - Strain.
4 - Line a large baking tray with grease proof paper and spread the fruit so it is not lapping each other.
5 - Fan bake of bake for up to about 2 - 3 hrs on 150 c or until crispy. This all depends on your oven. They are not ready until they are slightly crispy and not burnt in the oven.
6 - Cool and store in an air tight jar.

3 - Remove, and wrap in glad wrap. The kids wont even know it has been in salted water.
This apple has been in the salted water and left over night on my kitchen bench.
