This yogurt is cheap to make and easy. If you want to make only 2 litres you can, as long as you use 1 heaped tbsp of culture per litre of milk. You must follow this recipe well, for it to work.
Yogurt - homemade
3 Litres organic whole fat milk, not trim.
3 large tbsp unsweetened yogurt
3 litre container with a lid that will fit in a chilly bin
chilly bin
2 hot water bottles
towel or blanket to fit into the chilly bin

Method
1 - Heat milk to 85 deg - no less if using straight from the cow. If not heat to 45 deg.
2 - Fill 2 hot water bottles with boiling water, place in chilly bin with a towel.
3 - Cool milk now to 45 deg, exactly - sitting in a sink of cold water.
4 - Whisk in yogurt culture, pour quickly into a 3 lt container, lid on and into the chilly bin.
Leave overnight. Place in the fridge the next morning and it will thicken.
You can whisk in honey the next morning before placing it in the fridge.
