I love my herbs. They die off over Winter because of our harsh Winters. I love it when Spring comes and they all pop up again and I had not done anything to them. Herbs are full of nutrition and should be used in your meals every day when available.
Purple Cabbage and Herb Salad Recipe
Measurements depend on how many you are feeding.
I used -
Red cabbage - finely sliced
Cucumber - diced small
Tomato - diced small
Loads of fresh herbs
Apple Cider Vinegar Dressing Recipe
2 tbsp dijon mustard
2/3 cup mild flavour extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic , smashed and chopped
4 tbsp honey or brown rice malt syrup
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 lemon juice
1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
Method
1 - Combine all ingredients in a jar and shake.
Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Chives
Mint - I grow this in a pot because it will take over my herb garden otherwise.
Lemon Sage
Normal Sage
Huge bunch of herbs including parsley then I haded tomato's, cucumber and red capsicum.
Mixed in the red cabbage and dressed it with ''Apple Cider Dressing '' under dressing in recipe page.
